Fender roasted maple neck. 12” radius

Fantastic neck out of the box. Love the jumbo frets and 12" radius. Never going back to a 9 1/2 " radius. Makes a huge difference on speed and solos on the fret board. Beautiful neck in every way. Feels wonderful

Great Neck - a couple of things to be prepared for...

This neck is perfect. If you're interested in playability and good looks, this is it. So comfortable. The flat finish on the back makes it so easy to move up and down the fretboard, and the glossy finish on the roasted maple gets lots of compliments. You'll want to make sure your tuners are the right size for the pre-drilled holes! Also, be prepared to work on the nut or read more have it done by your local luthier.

Worth it!

I don't have a lot of money, so $ for a guitar neck seemed like an extravagant expense. I wasn't sure if it was going to be worth it. But It definitely was. The satin neck, jumbo frets, and glossy headstock finish all look and feel amazing. I was very pleased with the level of fret polishing; bends feel smooth and easy. The fret ends were quality cut, but could use a little rounding read more on the edges. The truss rod feels smooth and responsive. Definitely a great buy.

Good neck

Got this neck for a custom Strat I was building, first impressions were that it was very nicely packaged. It came well boxed and very secure. The stock photos really don't do it justice, it is absolutely beautiful! A little work is to be expected on any new neck but I really had to do a lot of work to the frets, I had to bring them down a considerable amount after cutting the nut read more and stringing, I play with a heavy fretting hand and constantly found myself bending out of key just by finger pressure. The edges of the frets themselves were pretty sharp and restricted my slides. If you're willing to do the work on it or get it worked on I would highly recommend this replacement neck

I was worried about losing some of the "mojo" in my sixty six that I fell in love with and have since tweaked a bit. I've been wanting a 12" radius neck and sweetwater caught me in a weak moment so I pulled the trigger. Despite the baked maple not matching the natural lighter finish body of my Sixty Six I'm glad I did because this thing took everything about my axe and amplified read more it. Yes, it will change the tone and feel. The neck is denser, thinner, and has a different radius from the usual strat neck but different isn't bad, its going to take whatever you have and let more of it through. I can feel noticeably more resonance in my hands and belly. You have to make sure the neck is seated very well in the pocket for it to be its best BTW. Anyhow, it feels like a good jackson neck tbh. My sixty six is now perfect and I'm a believer in these roasted maple necks.
