Fender Locking Tuners Fit Perfectly
Other reviewers have commented that the tuner holes need to be enlarged. My neck, purchased 10/14/2021, did not require any alteration of the holes to fit Fender Locking Tuners. The tuner holes and the peg holes lined up perfectly. This neck has a high gloss finish (unlike some other roasted maple necks I have seen.) All in all, a fine upgrade!
Covid project
Nice neck , frets were level on mine, got this for a Nashville Tele. build while at home. The tuner holes are not 10 mm. Ream the rear hole slow as roasted maple is brittle, the front holes are ok as the tuner bushings will fit without reaming. Josh Kattner is my sales engineer he makes sure I get my order
Very nice but.....
As another reviewer said the neck is nice but if you want to use Fender tuners you will have to enlarge the main holes a little bit. The two guide holes line up perfectly. I have an old peg head reamer. HF sells one for less than 5$. Just a few turns and they fit great. The back is satiny smooth the front is glossy. I'll play it as it is for a while. Might need to degloss the fretboard… read more later. Overall, a very nice neck. Smooth fret ends. 4 1/2 stars.
Great Neck...BUT...
Very nice neck! The back is either unfinished or satin finished, and the fingerboard & front of headstock are gloss finish. The frets seem to be dressed (a bit), and the nut has slotting reference marks. BUT!!! Fender's locking tuners are not a drop-in fit for this neck. The holes need to be reamed out for them to fit. The two alignment pin holes on each place match up fine, but… read more the main holes are too small for Fender locking tuners. I wish Fender would make this clear in their information, but they don't. They just say in the info for the tuners that they don't fit their vintage speck neck tuner holes. But this neck is not vintage spec; it has jumbo frets & a flat oval profile. The not so bad thing is that you can easily ream out the holes with a tapered T-Handle hand reamer that you can get at pretty much any hardware store. Just go straight & slow and check the fit every few turns. There you have it.
What a treat! Roasted Maple Neck with Flat oval profile

The Fender Telecaster roasted Maple replacement neck with jumbo frets, 12" radius, and flat oval profile makes me want to play all night, and the neck is so comfortable I probably could, there is a woodiness added to my tone that… read more I really love. Sweet spots everywhere on the fretboard, nice job on qc, never had a better Mexican made neck in my hands. I've had a warmoth neck made, and by comparison this Fender neck is really worth the $...!
