Mesa/Boogie Rosetta One Ten
Parker got me into the Rosetta. Killer acoustic amp! Lately I've been saying 30lbs is the max I want to lug around. The Rosetta comes in at 28lbs. He's been introducing me to the LR Baggs acoustic pedals and I picked up the Session pedal. What a combo with the Rosetta. It just rounds out the rough edges. Thanks Parker, and Thanks Sweetwater!
Mesa rosette300
It's has a learning curve, but after that it's the best amplifier I've used, fantastic sound with shure wireless headset and Taylor guitars Koa 24,t5 pro, Thanks Sweetwater and Ian Lemberg
Super Clean Sounds!
I was on the fence to purchase this or a Fishman for about half the cost. Well, after playing the Fishman in-store and watching a ton of videos on this one, I decided to 'buy once cry once' and splurge on this one. Just like my other Mesa products, it does not disappoint. Clarity wise it was definitely much much clearer and the built-in effects sounded more natural when playing… read more with my Taylor acoustic. I still have more to learn with the amp and need to try using a pedal or two with it. It does have some great options for piping the audio out too. I would say using this at home or at a gig it would work really well. I would have been over the moon had they just included the footswitch with it.
2 years later.
I reviewed this amp when I first got it almost 2 years ago. My 1987 Martin D28 sounds awesome through this amp, I've never heard or played through one I thought was as good as this amp or better IMO. It takes a while to learn how to use it properly but once you do you it sounds great. What I've learned about for my rig is the treble and bass gain controls works best around 01100… read more hrs, everything else is personal choice. My rig is a Martin D28 with a piezo fishman pickup and a cover over the sound hole. Try one out if you have the opportunity.
Look no further - the best acoustic combo available!
I've gone through a few acoustic amps, and was always pretty disappointed with their ability to represent the acoustic sound. Also, wattage is important. A lot of people go direct with acoustic guitars, and fair enough - but personally I'm looking to take the "meh" sound person out of the equation when it comes to hearing myself on stage. It's tough to find an acoustic amp that… read more sounds great but also has the power to get up over that drummer and other amps. Enter the Mesa Boogie Rosette. I'm super satisfied with this amp I can't say much more other than it's worth it. It has a lot of tonal shaping options, and it has some built in reverb and chorus...which are....OK like any other digital sim on any other acoustic amp...but the FX loop should help you add that in with a great pedal. I was able to snag a "used" one from Sweetwater (perfect condition, slightly lower price) and thanks to Dustin K my sales Engineer for always helping push me over the correct edge on decisions. There are two models of the amp - the One:Ten and the Two:Eight. (One ten inch speaker or two eight inch). To me, the One:Ten sounded better in the comparison videos online. ONE thing to consider if you are between the One:Ten and the Two: Eight - (and I found this out after the fact) - they both claim to be 300 Watts, but the difference is that the One:Ten pushes 150 watts to the internal speaker, and would push another 150 to an optional extension speaker (this model allows extension speakers). Whereas the Two:Eight pushes all 300 watts to the internal speakers with no option for the extension. SO - if you are looking for that full 300 watts, you'll have to go with the Two:Eight model at a higher price point. However, so far the 150 watts is plenty loud thus far....I'm not certain I would even need an extension or more wattage to accomplish my live acoustic dreams. Thanks again Dustin, and Sweetwater for being the best music shopping experience one can have. I hope you will find this informative and it helps you decide to get this amp if you are lookin!
