Works great
I bought this capo to use on my Taylor GS Mini guitar. I usually use it on the second or third fret so can't comment on using it farther up, but I have been very happy with it. I followed the start-up instructions to fine-tune the fit, and it fits securely with no buzzing.
New favorite for my electrics
I've had a Kyser capo for decades and wanted to try some different ones. Tested this one along with the Kyser and G7th Ultralight and this is my new favorite capo for my electric guitars. In photos it can look a bit big and bulky depending on the angle but it's actually quite small and sleek. Very quick to get into place. Guitar sounds greats and stays in tune. Needs very little… read more pressure on the strings (main benefit over my old Kyser). The only bummer is that you can't park it on the headstock (like you can with the Kyser) when not in use.
Good quality, but not wide enough
I bought this because it was advertised as heavier duty than the standard Shubb capo, which I already owned and loved. However, it barely opens wide enough to fit on the neck of my National steel guitar and is very tight on the fifth fret, which defeats the purpose of the Shubb capo. These are meant to put less tension on the strings. The standard Shubb capo fits all up and down… read more the neck on this guitar, so I figured I'd buy the Deluxe because I use heavy gauge strings. So even though it is very well made, it didn't really work out the way I had hoped.
Perfect
I have been a hobbiest for 35 years. I like things simple but reliable. This fits the bill. It's not flashy, easy enough to keep in your pocket when not in use. Was able to dial-in from the start. Would I buy another if lost, absolutely! Don't hesitate to purchase. This is the real deal!
