Pickups
Although not as strong as the David Gilmour EMG pickups...Pickups... volume. It does bring back some Old School vibes. The tone system is passive but would be better if it was active.
EMG'S Nuff said. "on the eigth day God created EMG'S"
I put these in my strat, and I love everything about them. I have 3 guitars that have EMG'S and I don't see why anyone uses other p-ups. I would and do highly recomend these!
Brings my strat to life
These pickups really improve my partscaster strat in a substantial way. First, the noise from nearby electrical noise sources is greatly dimished. Second, the expression of string response is much more dynamic and is perceptible through heavy distortion. Played clean you get the expressive tone that a dialed in strat is known to produce. Third, the active circuitry allows a less… read more intense magnetic field to be directed against the strings which means that they are not damping out as quickly...sustain and harmonics are more perceptible. Installation was easy with the modular system. The potentiometers work smoothly and quietly and the three way switch feels smooth in action. I wish I had installed these years ago...
EMG SA PICKUPS......WOW !!!!
In "The 1980's", I used EMG Telecaster pickups & they were SUPER NICE. I recently built a "David Gilmour" type Strat. I knew I needed EMG SA Pickups in my guitar. I was alittle intimidated by the installation of these pickups. I had them done by a professional. I love single coil pickups EXCEPT they're too darn noisey. These pick ups are dead quiet. Also these are powerful pickups… read more because they're active. They're louder than normal & the tones are splendid. I also added a EMG SPC Tone Control.....WOW.....SUPER PRONOUNCED midrange. Gotta say this in regards to guitar tone, it's ALL ABOUT the midrange & EMG SA's w/ SPCTone Control brings it.....BIGTIME ! HUGE Strat tones that are dead quiet...WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE ??
