These pickups absolutely sing in my Schecter Tempest. I play mostly doom metal, but I have gotten great results with them in every other style I have tried. They have just the right output, where it is plenty of juice but won't generate too much compression. These are my new favorite pickup set and are going to be my new go to for any humbucker equipped guitar.

I bought these for my les Paul standard because the les Paul I put them in didn't hold up sonically to my sunburst. I wanted something different because my go to pickup from Seymour Duncan is the JB. I have a JB in my Jackson Dinky, I have a phat cat in my les Paul Junior, YJM fury's in my Yngwie Strat, and a set of pearly gates in my hollowbody. So needless to say I love my Duncan's.… read more But these pickups brought my les Paul back to life. It screams! These pickups are very very articulate! You can really hear the pick attack. The Alnico 4 magnets really make a difference it actually feels and sounds hotter than they are! When it says on the package 70s hard rock and arena rock pickups, they aren't kidding! These babies have a PAF vibe but are hotter but have the top end of a ceramic magnet pickup (Duncan Custom/DiMarzio Super Distortion) but it's not shrill it's smooth. The bridge pickup chunks for days! It reminds me of John Sykes tone because the harmonics jump put effortlessly! Also they are very open sounding and tight in the low end. They don't get muddy with a lot of distortion either. The neck pickup is like velvet! It's smooth and airy but not wooly like a traditional PAF. These pickups also clean up very very well and are very sensitive to touch and dynamics. They really bloom like a PAF! But way more attitude! The upper harmonic content is amazing! I highly recommend these! If you like guitar tones from players such as Ace Frehley, John Sykes, Gary Rossington, Rickey Medlocke, Ted Nugent, Gary Moore, these pickups get that tone no problem! Love em!
