Amazing guitar
I've played a lot of guitars in my life and have owned a couple Ibanez 7 string through the years. So I was looking for a new mid priced 7 string with good pickups a Floyd rose and kept coming back to Schecter. My only gripe with most Schecters is I prefer a really thin neck like my Ibanez guitars had. I'm not talking about width but the thickness from fretboard to back of the neck.… read more Im a fast player and I like a fast flat neck and the Banshee Mach 7 delivers. A lot thinner then the Omens, Hellraisers, and Apocalypse guitars. Those guitars are great but not the thin neck I prefer. The scale length on this guitar is important as well. What's the point of a 7 string guitar if that Low B string flops around and doesn't hold a true note when you hit it open. The finish on this guitar is amazing. I love the satin finish. It looks great and feels amazing in your hands plus the body doesn't show smudges like gloss finishes do. This looks and more importantly feels and plays like a guitar costing twice as much. The lundgren bridge pickup sounds killer. Nice and tight good for not only metal but anything in between. The sustainiac is cool but I may eventually switch it out for a humbucker. It is a noiseless single coil that sounds great when not using the sustainer. This guitar sounds amazing. It sounds great unplugged. You can feel the vibration in your hands very well. The neck thru is nice and slim when it meets the body so no difficulty reaching the highest frets. This isn't a light guitar either. Not as heavy as a Les Paul but it is solid and substantial. I can find no fault in this instrument. It plays amazingly, has great hardware/pickups. The wood looks top notch, fit and finish is great and just sounds really really good. I love playing it. The action came out of the box perfect. You could go a little lower if you wanted to though but not much. Like I said it's nice and low already set up for a fast playing experience. You will not regret buying this guitar. You can also get it with out a floating bridge and in different pickup combinations so you can have one with the equipment you prefer. A word on Sweetwater. This is the 1st time I have made a purchase with them and it was a unexpectedly pleasant experience. They reached out to me after the purchase and got to know me just a bit. Tyler Lamb the sales engineer that called me was knowledgeable and not overbearing. He wasn't trying to sale me anything just start a business relationship. I actually made another purchase about a week later and went back to Sweetwater because it almost had that same feeling of going to the guitar store and getting to know the staff that was always enjoyable back in the day. Anyway buy this guitar you will be happy you did.
Not just a good guitar..a Great guitar
This is such a fantastic Metal guitar. It plays great, and sounds great. Excellent build quality. It's also a pretty heavy guitar, which surprised me, but it makes me feel at home after playing my Les Paul. It's a shredding Metal machine. Thank you Codie for the assist!
Absolutely amazing.
Incredible sustain even without the sustainiac. Perfect tune. Perfect frets. The Lungren M7s in this are monsters. Very comfortable to play.
