Not a single flaw

Amazing feel, built like a brick outhouse, has ALL the tones, and a beautiful finish. It feels like stealing for paying less than a grand on this kind of quality. And a shout-out to Sweetwater for getting this to me in less than a week, including the setup.

If your on the fence about buying a bass online and having it shipped, Don't be! Sweetwater did a great job packing it and the instrument came to me 100% playable right out of the box. My sales engineer, Mike Wright, was awesome and took care of everything perfectly. I bought this bass in April of 2021 after a 30 year hiatus of not playing at all. I cannot believe how good this read more bass is for the price I paid for it. Keep in mind, I am only familiar with passive basses. You can get an excellent jazz bass or p-bass sound out of this bass. It's comfortable to play and it is definitely stage ready! I primarily play blues and jazz style music and flatwound strings sound really nice on this bass. If you are looking for a versatile passive bass that doesn't cost a lot, buy this bass and will be glad you did!.

Great Bass

This is one of my favorite bases without a doubt.. I have a closet full of 1970's Fender basses Sounds good but they play like Crapola. Anyone honest enough and old enough would agree.. I absolutely love this Bass..I'm in a wedding band and gig consintly. The neck is wonderful makes my Fenders feel like Dinosaurs..For a passive bass you have a lot of tones to play with . This Bass read more has it's own personality and it kicks but.Ihave used this Bass for quite a few gigs now so far she hasn't let me down super virsatile. I have been playing a lot of years..my instruments are like tools at this point of my life. This Bass is Fantastic and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about an overpriced Fender This Bass kicks but. Reliable..once set up stays set up..that is something that a lot manufactures can't claim. Bklyn Steve.. Ly

I am in shock at how amazing this thing is!!! The videos I've seen on YouTube do it no justice!!! Amazingly fast satin neck that is perfect size for my hand, body is comfortable and lightweight. But what blew me away is the pick ups and controls!!! It goes from a nice subtle tone to balls to the wall with the flick of a switch!!! If you're can't get the tone you're looking for on read more this, then you are doing something wrong!! Absolutely incredible!!!

I've owned a few basses and this is by far my favorite. I sold other basses because I didn't need them after buying this one. The sound range is so wide. It's almost too many to choose from. Almost. Schecter makes some of the best bang for buck instruments in the world. This is one of their best.

Beautiful guitar with great action

This is a beautifully designed guitar. It's a great beginner to mid-level guitar, but I can imagine gigging with it. It has a two-part spliced wood body so be careful when selecting the grain. The jumbo frets are very nice. There was some minor damage on my pick guard probably from the factory; it was very minor so I understand if Sweetwater missed it. The neck is very smooth and read more enables easy playing. The fretwork was decent for this price range. Very good tone on the pickups.

Great Overall Instrument for Cost

I came across one of these at a recording session and the engineer wanted me to use it instead of my regular P-Bass (which had woof tones, he said...). Plays really smooth, the rosewood fingerboard is luscious, and the frets are nice and large (which I like). The fit and finish is pretty remarkable at this price point. Also, I like the electronics layout. I'm a guitarist first, read more and never liked the "blend" knob on most basses for controlling neck v. bridge pickups. I much prefer the simple switch, like on a guitar (all neck, 50/50, or all bridge). I also like the passive electronics (no batteries, thank you...). The coil tap switches are a nice touch and provide tons of options tonally. The overall controls layout is more like a Telecaster than most basses, and I like that. The tuning keys are high quality, also. And the neck has a nice satin finish. It's not an ultra-thin C profile (which I don't like). It's more like a medium C. This is a pretty good option if you're looking for a reasonably priced "one arrow quiver" bass. This is a pretty unbeatable value, in my humble opinion.

Terrifically versatile!

Very nice bass, smooth fret ends, wonderful low action, great finish/fit/feel. With the 3-way toggle, the 3-way mini toggles, volume and tone controls, this bass will do everything from deep smooth low-end, to articulate detailed sounds. I put flat wounds on it, so smooth playing.

Schecter nailed it!

First, I will say that most positive reviews of an instrument at this price point say something like, "Great bass for the money." I will just say here and now, GREAT BASS, PERIOD! Schecter began over 40 years ago as an aftermarket parts maker, mostly known for Fender neck and body replacements. Since they began making their own instruments, they've had some cool models along the read more way and some forgettable ones. They knocked this one out of the park! From the neck (P-bass dimensions) to the pickup design to the controls, this passive bass gives me all the Fender tones and THEN some. The neck pup brings a great P-bass tone and with the coils in series, a P-bass on steroids! The bridge pup in series and the tone rolled off about 50% gives me the punchiest "Jaco" tone I've ever gotten. The two pups together in series gets a rich, full Jazz Bass sound that knocks my socks off! Fiddle with the mini toggles and you can dial up a MM tone or a really modern, scooped sound with a nasty little snick when you pop the G-string. I could go on, but suffice it to say that, with all the Fenders, à Wal and others I own and have owned over the last 48 years, if this were the only bass I could own, I would be a very happy mofo! My only tiny, little gripe would be that the otherwise great monorail bridge would benefit from standard Phillips adjustment screws instead of the tiny Allan wrenches that you'd better not lose. lol. I gave this bass a full 5 stars, despite this point. This is a monster bass....well-built, rich mid-range punch, big bottom, open highs.....just can't say enough about it! Pick one up and see for yourself! Oh......you're welcome!

Respet for Schecter

I'm a kinda Fender guy. For years, I had many, many basses. I buy, fix, sell, trade, etc. Off couse I have my own private colection, but never ever pay atention to Schecter in over 20 years. I really want a bass that can handle all 3 classics sounds: the pbass, the jbass and the MM. I tried the G&L but I felt that the neck was too chuncky for my test. I had more than a year watching read more this Schecter, so I took the risk. It really mimic all 3 classics sounds very well, the neck it's a kind of jbass neck and yes, all others features that most of the time are in basses that cost 3 times it price are here too. The other thing that I love so much on this bass is that it's passive but very loud, so no stupid battery issues. Simply awesome job Schecter. Oh, I forgot to said that I made my own setups because I use the action very low, but I have to said that this one came very well in terms of action and entonación. Great job by the guys on Sweetwater.
