The Omen
I will start with the fact that I did not buy my Omen-4 from Sweetwater but I have had it for over a year. Honestly, the bass is well rounded instrument for the price point. The frets feel pretty good overall. The neck feels really smooth and soft which allows for fast playing up and down the neck with no resistance. The pick-ups, being the reproduction second-rate humbucking… read more pickups they are, are lacking in tonal variety and feel overly compressed. They don't seem to punch or growl like EMG, Fishman, or Seymour Duncan pickups can. But other than that, the bass is definitely a great buy for an intermediate musician or some looking for a work horse to get the job done. I would advise buying EMG pickups or Seymour Duncan's to replace the stock pickups though. Luckily Sweetwater carries both!
