Trevor on
The bass is amazing, great for experimental stuff and it handles slap bass better then any bass I have. It is really responsive and great for tapping as well. Its really fun for solo play and pedals. The pickups are amazing and the tone options are versatile. I would still rather bring a P bass for band stuff as it seems to hold the low end better than most bass guitars but this… read more shecter would be work well for a metal show. I love this guy and I already have been playing it more than my P bass! LOL!
Love This Bass!
This is a beautiful and well made instrument. As advertised, it comes out of the box set-up and ready to play. I've played this live and it's reliable - feels pro, don't let the great price fool you. The active pickups and tone controls are really versatile. I've covered metal, country, motown, rock, etc. with it, just takes some experimenting. Most importantly, it's just fun to… read more play. As a guitarist moving to bass I found the neck easy to navigate and comfortable. Super impressed with this Schecter!
Sounds as good as it looks
For the money, you'd be hard pressed to find a better bass guitar. There are some that would be equal, but not many. First of all, yes, it does look every bit as good in person as it does in the photos (the one thing the photos don't fully do justice to is the in-lays - pearl overlapping mother of pearl). Kind of a classy look, I think, that would be equally at home in jazz or in… read more goth rock - incidentally my two main genres. The sound is great, though as I have seen other reviewers mention, it does favor the lower end. The higher notes sound great too, but the lower end... you feel it. The playability is excellent - the neck feels very natural and comfortable in my hand. Now, onto Sweetwater themselves. This was my first time buying from them. It won't be the last. I had originally intended to get the Schecter Omen Elite from one of their competitors. It was out of stock, but I was told that they would have more in a few weeks. Well... the day after ordering it on reserve, I got a call saying that it was a scratch and dent (the website said no such thing, which the caller acknowledged)... now, while the finish on the guitar they had in stock was "perfect," it was missing the knobs. I felt like that was kind of a big deal, as I had believed that I was ordering a complete guitar. I asked if I could wait the few weeks for a complete guitar to be in stock... they said no. This had me a little irritated with them, and I had dropped some good money with them in the past. I told them to cancel my order. I'd stumbled across Sweetwater somewhat prior to that, trying to figure out which bass I wanted to be my next one. They didn't have the Omen Elite that I had wanted, so I went with the Stiletto Extreme. I was extremely pleased with my experience with Sweetwater. I love that they do the inspection - while I've had other guitars come to me in the mail with some loose bits and pieces, or maybe needing a truss rod adjustment, this one was good to go out of the box. Customer service was excellent and exceeded all expectations, and the guitar was packed with a lot of care (might have been a very good thing, as the outer box was in somewhat rougher shape).
My favorite bass ever i used a bunch of other basses and nothing beats the hand made quality of this bass
Amazing product 10/10 get out of the reviews and buy it already plays like 1000 bucks
Incredible Bass
After years of playing one specific brand of bass, not because of loyalty, but more because of availability, I fianlly found a bass that truly fits me and my playing style. At Christmas, I got to play a friends 5 string Schecter Stiletto and fell in love. After much research and plenty of review reading I went with this Stiletto Extreme 4. The tone output and clarity of this bass… read more is absolutely perfect. My drummer at church has even made multiple comments about how much better it sounds and the clarity of it verses my other bass. This won't be my last Schecter bass, as I already have my eyes on a 5 string to replace my current one
Love my new Schecter
I absolutely love this bass. Just like with my C-1, it has a pretty fast fret board and it's absolutely fun to play. Schecter has been my favorite since picking up my C-1 and as soon as I saw the Stiletto Extreme, I knew I had to have it. I can't wait to order my 5 string and my Omen 7 string.
Very Good Bass
My Daughter wanted to start playing Bass, I wanted to get her something in the middle of the road price range, Not expensive but not cheap. Her favorite Bass player is Simon Gallup from The Cure & I knew he played Schecter gear so this was a winner from the get go for her.I payed an additional $... for a set-up from the Luthiers @ Sweetwater and I am happy i did because this baby… read more played awesome when we got it.The see thru black finish looks fantastic. I am not going to lie i am a Guitar player, but I did sneak in to her room when she wasn't home plugged in to her Hartke 50w combo with a Source Audio Aftershock Bass Distortion pedal & had a good old funky Bass slap session. It was a blast. A big Thank you to my Sweetwater rep Ray Gonzales for making this dream come true for her. She practices three or more hours everyday & absolutely loves this Bass,
Schecter Stiletto Extreme 4 Bass Guitar
Schecter is a great guitar maker but if you buy the lower end product line you are taking a 50/50 chance it will not feel or performs as the guitars or bass that are made out of Korea. I would look at this guitar and automatically assume this guitar was not a beginners bass. I would save up a bit more money and invest in the Korean made models. This is a guitar brand that many true… read more artists recommend. I recommend this brand to others. This guitar flew under the radar for many years and is becoming more known about then it ever has been before n the past.
Awesome!!
do not really write reviews but i think this might be my best experience all around, i would have rated 6 stars if i could. Started with purchase, 15 min after completing online purchase i got a call from Bart, had good conversation made sure i got everything ill need to start playing out of the box. Suggested some things that would make for a better playing experience with no… read more pressure to buy from them though i would and will be getting all i need through them in the future. i got pictures of my Schecter Bass and full update of shipment with easy way to track. got it 2 day before due date unwrapped and it is the cleanest best sounding great feel i LOVE it. TY Bart and sweetwater wish all businesses ran like yours Cheers.
Verry satisfied
I love the Bass. The hard part was the temptation to keep it for my self rather than give it to my Grandson for his twentieth birthday. The setup was spot on. Unlike enything I had looked at in locale Guitar stores. Sweetwater dose it rite.
