One of my favorite new pickups!
So I had a classic Gilmour Black Strat... except for the middle pickup I had an identical setup : Fat 50's on neck, fat 50's on middle and seymour duncan ssl-5 on bridge... In sounds incredible clean... but it doesn't take some dirt pedals very well... some of my favorite, most expensive pedals... I was going to use my Les Paul but I really missed the strat, By the way this is… read more not a set up problem, pickup height, etc.. this is after trying everythibbfbon the book and beyond to try and make it sound better... so I got the Little '59 on neck (awesome pickup) I left the SSL-5 on bridge and I was adviced to put a low output pickup in the middle so I went with the SD Duckbucker... and it really helped bringing back the classic strat quack that I had lost when takig out the fat 50's ... overall my guitar sounds a lot better with pedals now... different... but better.
