Seagull s Maritime SWS CH CW QIT Review

Fabulous all-round acoustic

I have three high end Taylor's and three high end Martins. I play the Seagull Maritime SWS more than all the others combined. The sound is very good. Well balanced. You hear it on YouTube. Small size does a credible job on low notes. Taylor's and Martins have more harmonics, if that's what you're after. For me, the Maritime seems to have what I want. Good sound. Balanced up and… read more down neck and side to side from low E to High E. Built in elx that work well. Built in tuner, Cutaway for high fret access. No gloss finish, which I prefer. Seems ver rugged. All perfectly built and finished. Like all my other guitars, I lowered the strings at the nut and saddle.

Bargain

The Solid Wood Series is an incredible bargain. I have had guitars that were three times the price and were works of art and played beautifully but Uncle Sam needed my money more than me. The Seagull Maritime SWS CH CW QIT was worth every penny and I got it after watching how they are made in Canada. Quality it tops.

One of the Best Guitars I have owned...

I was introduced to Seagull/Godin guitars several year ago and have purchased and used for performing and recording both the Seagull and Godin guitars. I purchased the Maritime SWS Concert Hall to replace a Taylor 414 CE. The narrower neck on the Seagull allows me to play up to three forty-five minute sets without the hand fatigue I would get from the Taylor. The price point for this guitar, considering the value, is quite astounding given the price of comparable instruments. The quality is on par with Taylor and Martin.

They go through great lengths to ensure their customers have a perfect experience from being technically knowledgeable to focusing on small details like showing the exact pictures of the guitar you will buy. Being able to see the exact grain of the guitar is reassuring. Definitely a customer for life.
