More protection than a padded gig bag, less protection than a wood hardshell case. These do a fine job of protecting your inexpensive Epiphones and offbrand guitars for day to day storage and transit to lessons, jams, and gigs. I probably wouldn't use them for serious travel but they are great overall and especially if you can buy them on sale, a pretty affordable case solution.… read more I bought a demo unit and it was like new. It was perfect for the Epi SG I bought cheap, gutted, fretlevelled, and all around upgraded. They make this case in several configurations: Les Paul, SG, 335, 339, Flying V, Exporer, Jumbo, Dreadnaught and SST ... so WHY NO FIREBIRD MODEL?? Firebird owners have a hard time finding cases as there aren't that many options. Epiphone makes a hardshell for their firebird, but everyone says it is oversized and quite heavy as a result. Seems like an EpiLite would be the perfect alternative, and somewhat more cost effective.

This is my second EpiLite case purchase. I absolutely love these cases. They have the light weight and flexibility of a gig bag, mixed with the durability and protection of a hard case. I WILL be purchasing more of these!!!!

I am very impressed with the construction of this case. The finish is really nice . Very sturdy in its construction and it is very light also . It's not made for taking on tour , but should work for gigging . I'm still awaiting my back ordered Tony Iommi Signature SG so I can't vouch for fit.

SG fits perfectly without having to take off the strap. Love the Velcro strap that secures the neck. Looks sweet too. We'll see how the zippers hold up.
