George Lynch! Listen to his 80s/90s music projects In which he was involved. Harmonic-laden and smooth lead tone, chunky but detailed notes in the lower register (the details are in the technique of the player). A hotter pickup than what you'd find in in your everyday Les Paul, and some other strat/super strats. It's a pickup that would work well across any guitar, and in the hands read more of the right player, it can be a great multi-genre pickup. I already have one, in the Lynch Tiger Maple LTDs along with an Original Floyd Rose...roll back the volume and let the fun commence! Or better yet, turn it all up to 10 and rip into any classic rock/metal, current rock/metal, or original music.

Still the best humbucker

I bought a Screamin' Demon years ago and love it. I decided to get another one for a rebuilt from scratch LTD (more time spent on extensive fret work than anything else) and the tone is exactly as the one built 20+ years ago. The tone is very open in the high end but really compressed in the low end. The low mids are well pronounced while the high mids are subdued a bit. Harmonics read more are where this pickup shines and defines itself.

Had a Kramer Striker 100st back in 1985 or so. Installed on e of these and it transformed that guitar into exactly what I wanted. The pinch harmonics were effortless. The volume knob backed off at half-throttle was just perfect tone for double stops. Probably my favorite pickup I have ever installed to this day.

The Tone In My Head Comes Out With This Pickup!!!

I absolutely love this pickup. I have guitars with JB humbuckers, guitars with EMG's, etc... and this is the tone I prefer. They are very versatile and have a very good tone without the harsh trebles some have. I recently put the Lil Screamin Demon in my Fender American Standard Strat and love how that sounds too. Highly recommend!!

This pickup gives me the sound & tone I want

Seriously, I own 7 of these pickups. Some white, some black, but the color doesn't matter, it's the tone you get from these. I've always been a fan of George Lynch, while in Dokken, or in any of his other projects. But, you can buy the same guitars as your favorite guitarist, same amps, same everything, and not nail their sound. A lot of it has to come from the player. But read more for "my sound", this is the pickup I always use to replace in my favorite guitars. Right now, I'm wiring up all the electronics and pickups, all wires, switches, everything in a 1986 Les Paul Custom, and this pickup is going in the bridge. I hopped on here to remind me of what wiring goes where. I'm not using split coil this time, just straight Les Paul setup. This is a GREAT pickpu and I highly recommend it. Also, I play a lot of different styles and have used this in many different bands, not just rock or classic rock. It just sounds good.
