Replaced my other Seymour Duncan pickups that got damaged in my Schecter C-1 with these Whole Lotta Humbuckers. What a great choice , could not be happier . Thanks again to Ben Porter and Sweetwater for excellent service.

I purchased a 2016 Les Paul Traditional as I always wanted that classic rock sound. It was typical at best, so I installed the Seymour Duncan SH18 pickups, along with premium wiring, pots and capacitors. The guitar no longer hums, sounds GREAT, and I found the Les Paul sound they seem to have lost in driving cost savings per unit. I recently bought a set of the double black Seymour Duncan Whole Lotta Humbucker Pickups. WOW!!!! These pickups have to be one of the best Seymour Duncan makes. A few weeks after I received them in the mail my guitar tech installed them in my new Epiphone Les Paul Custom Silverburst. First let me say that an experienced guitar tech should install them if you want coil tapping and… read more the out of phase options on your guitar. Now for the good stuff. These humbuckers are clear as a bell regardless of clean or over drive settings. No muddy sound here. Add coil tapping and out of phase and you have about 13 or 14 sound possibilities. So if your thinking of buying a set call Sweetwater Sound and get ready to be seriously blown away by how great they sound. My sales Rep Derek Senestraro is always helpful with seeing that my orders are sent without any problems.

Yes - more output, but not more mud. Nice, across the board response. If I had to choose one word to describe these pickups, it would be 'articulate'. Beautiful clean, but even when driven to dismay retain clarity and definition without sounding dry or sterile... not these lovelies. Besides testing the favorites, I've had pickups custom wound for certain qualities for decades. These… read more were a perfect fit right out of the box. Want to bring some clarity to your Les Paul, and keep the heart and soul? Give these a go.For my sound, I rely upon the natural drive of a cranked tube amp; the woods of my guitars and pickups that will let all that tonal goodness shine through. Really happy with these. Been jammin' them awhile now with no disappointments. I'll be keeping these in my main player.
