Good replacement for the Holdsworth bridge

I have a Kiesel bolt and while the Holdsworth it came with is cool, it lacked the thickness and also the harmonic content I needed. This is a great classic sounding pickup, can do jazz real well, fusion, metal, prog. Good middle ground!

this pickup is awesome i installed it in my 90's gibson SG big improvement as soon as i get some extra money I'm buying the 59 neck pickup... also sweeter water is the best super fast shipping alway a pleasure doing business

I needed to install a quality PU in a used old Cortez Les Paul copy, I acquired recently. It was a 1976 copy, and had no discernible wear or marks any where - quite nice with a good neck. Must have been bought and put away... The original pickups were horrid and cheezy as to be expected and screeched awful on overdrive use. My intended purpose is a 1/2 step down tuned instrument… read more for occasional use in performances. I researched for my selection and since I have other Les Pauls with factory Gibson PAFs - I chose the SH-1. After installing the new SH-1, I am very pleased. Of course no more screech issues and it gives me very comparable performance and sound on both clean and OD sounds like my other (real) Les Pauls. I did not want a super distortion PU and this purchase fully met my needs. If you prefer a PAF pick up - this is a good selection.
