You can certainly spend more money and get a boutique 59 or PAF but this Seymour is just as good as any of those. I should know because I own a vintage '59 ES335 (with PAFs). I would put this Seymour right up with it. I chose the 4-wire version because I split the coil in position 4 on a Super-Strat. I own pickups from all the big names and still choose this one so that should say… read more a lot.

These sound so nice. Just the right about of Punch and Grit with overdrive. With a clean tone, they are nice and clear. If you are wondering what to get pickup-wise, choose these if you want the vintage tone. These are a steal and I'm glad I pulled the trigger. Absolute perfect customer service like always. Zebra adds punch to aging guitar

I used this pickup to replace the bridge pickup on my 98 Epiphone Les Paul. Easy to follow instructions made installing the Zebra a breeze. Not only did it sound great but it looked cool and even matched the cream colored binding on my guitar which gave it a stock look.
