I have one of these in all but 4 of my 16 gibson les paul guitars. So....yeah...I really like these in the neck position and I even have one in the bridge on one guitar.
Solo replacement
Bought a solo lpk kit guitar. When I complete guitar I was jazzed how good it sounded. After reading about pick-ups, I decided on the Seymour-Duncan SH-1 59. What difference. Totally pleased with them.
Love it.
Upgraded stock Epiphone SG pickups. Sounds great.
Just Perfect
This Pup sounds "Just perfect" in my modded Ibanez As53. This is a cheap guitar I picked just to try some mods on. I was very happy with the outcome. The guitar looks and plays great. I added all new electronics, a GraphTech nut, Wilkinson Tuners, and custom made Wenge Pickguard. But, the sound just took off when I added the Seymour Duncan 59 to the neck. Its rich, warm medium output… read more is perfect for Jazz, and I'm sure this pickup would sound good with most guitar styles.
