I love the Duncan JB, and was excited when I found out they made one special for the Nighthawk. The wiring was a little tricky due to all the stuff going on in the little cavity but it wasn't to bad. Red and white to the pot, green and bare to ground, and black to the switch. A little confusing because the epiphone wiring seemed opposite in color scheme but not too bad.

Put it in the nighthawk-practiced on a small amp,thought it sounded so so....played it in a band setting very loud and distorted...sounded absolutely incredible -high output,with great single note clarity. With the nighthawk,you have one bridge replacement option...it turned out to be a 100% uprade.

My Nighthawk was good as it was, but this JB Slant bridge pickup just put it over the top. Exceptional clarity when playing both clean and overdriven with amazing harmonics. Mellow cleans and raw powerful crunch in the same pickup......plus great coil-split tone. It's all that!

The slanted Nighthawk pickup replacement options are very limited, but no matter what avenue you go, the Seymour Duncan rules. I was thoroughly blown away by the tonal variation and excitement in dynamics this pickup provides. PLUS, it goes well with the stock single and mini-humbucker pickups. Nighthawks have a unique sound, and with the SH-4 JB added to the mix it becomes a tube… read more amp king. Get all bluesy Billy Gibbons or metal Avenged Sevenfold style-HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
