Cleans up like a single coil, does classic brown/ early rock n roll crunch, mid range pushed punk and grunge, and even heavy metal with lots of sustain and harmonics. All of this in one pick up, what more can you want?

I wanted to try this pickup in my les Paul. It has plenty of power, bite and clarity. Much better than the pickup that was in it. It also works well with the Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates that I have in the neck. I"m very pleased with it. It has out shined the all the other pickups I have tried and it is less expensive.

I have swapped with 4 of these over the years so I knew what I was getting. This is the go to Bridge Pup for me. It just makes the sound so much more than the stock Pups that usually come with some brands of guitars. It would be cool if Fender would put the ("blacktop") Pup in the bridge on the US models and Mex too. , Cuz man are they hot.
