Dude
So today I picked up my Esp Ltd 401 from the local music store after having new pickups installed, (DiMarzio Fantom P90's) and wanted to try it out. I plugged in to this amp and holy /รท# $#@! this amp sounds great. Sounds just like a tube amp. Finally getting the warm and creamy tones I've been after for so long. If you're thinking about it, go try one out. Trust me you'll buy… read more it.
Absolutely amazing amp
For reference, I plug an EMG Ltd EC-1000 Deluxe into this. I am stunned at how good this amp sounds. I used to play in bands (mostly originals) and got away from it for many years. I wanted a good sounding and versatile amp to mainly to practice/jam, write and record with. The Blackstar Silverline amp fits the bill and then some. The ability to dial in a wide range of sounds is… read more incredible and you can really create your own tones. And this amp really sounds and reacts like a tube amp, without the difficulties that come with tubes. Blackstar has blown me away with this whole line and this little model is perfect for a DAW studio.
Nice
I've had this for several months now so I have some confidence in writing a review. Unfortunately no gigs with it yet, nor will there be until the pandemic is done. But I would not hesitate. This amp is clean enough for acoustic and drives electric so well. It really does it all, it has so many sounds.....(we will get to that). Plenty loud ( I plan to mike it up trough the PA… read more anyhow but it will stand on it's own most places I play) and only, what is it 24lbs? Easy to haul around. So many sound options are packed into this thing. It is as advertised. Crank it up and it sounds just like a tube amp, lower volumes can be so so clean it's just gorgeous. Lot's of choices for sound come with a reasonable amount of complexity for me coming off exclusively using older tube amps, so it took me some time figuring out what sounds and settings I liked, how to use the programming and how to use the optional foot switch. Mine didn't come with a decent manual so I got instructions on You Tube. You can just use it on manual with your regular pedal board until you've met the learning curve.
Tube response in a digital amp
This amp does as it claims.......tube tone and feel without the tubes! Easy to use, yet extremely versatile. And loud!
The future is now !
