In my case, it adds the sustain I need with a controlled amount of hair. Guitar volume has a huge impact. I find it gives me that magic Gilmour thing that can get way over the top depending on the guitar volume knob setting. The 'Tight' knob also plays a key roll. Once you find that blend that works for you, it can be absolute magic.

Put your foot on the switch and get ready to rock! I love this pedal and will be purchusing more friedman pedals in the future. Luve how it tightens up the sound of my amp.

It does everything it was made to do And more! It has beautiful high end precision sustain, and superb low end tone at the same time! Perfect compressor all the way around! KILLER stomp comp!

This is my personal favorite compressor pedal. Yes it is a compressor and it does that extremely well. Add the Preamp part and you've got a killer little tone shaping box. Seriously, I was skeptical paying this much and with the 18v thing and all but wow am I glad I did. I have a ton of stomp comps like Wampler, Analogman, Diamond, Keeley.
