I bought my SLB300 a little over a month ago, and have been playing 3 gigs a week with it since receiving it. It's amazing! It's not like I'm getting rid of my upright, but for many of my gigs (one a crowded bar, one a window stage in a restaurant, and one an outside covered stage in a park) it's been the ideal excellent choice. For my 65 year old knees, it's a big help, especially… read more negotiating a very crowded student bar in Athens, OH...the lowered weight, smaller size, it all equals a great experience; plus the response I'm getting from listeners is outstanding! It was worth every penny for me.

Sound is amazing. Very authentic upright bass growl and this thing feels like an upright. I was disappointed with the action and needed to get work done on it the day I received the bass. Not a huge expense but at this price I would expect a better set up out of the box. Still, this is the bass I've waited for and truly enjoy playing it. Well worth the wait.
