Just not bucks worth of compression

I read the reviews and thought I'd try the Slide Rig. Maybe I'm missing something here, but for having supposed compression on top of compression, it just doesn't seem to add anything more than a standard compression pedal. To be honest, I think I prefer standard over-driven tubes direct. I play an Asher lap steel, thru a Fender Twin TM. I wish I could return it, but have had it… read more long enough, that I guess it's mine, and will sit other second-string pedals in the back of the guitar closet

This stompox is like having 2 compressors in one!! The included manual shows settings for a fabulous slide tone as well as a punchy sustain for playing killer lead tone. Playing around with the dials you can pull out some very interesting sustains. Really digging the wet/dry knob. This compressor is top notch!!

Well, I could go on and on about just how utterly AWESOME this little jewel of a pedal is, but we would be here a long time. So ,, in a nutshell, I would say JUST BUY IT!!! Pricey? You bet. But just how much is it worth to You to KNOW that Your live sound is just freakin INCREDIBLE!!! I admit that once I ordered this pedal, I almost had buyers remorse, that disappeared five minutes… read more after receiving it and plugging it in. Thank You Origin Effects, Sweetwater, and Jared Kalish !!! I simply cannot OVERSTATE the sonic value of this pedal and the MAGIC it injected into my sound!! So, all I can add to this review is two words BUY ONE!! And know pure sonic and tonal JOY! Oh yeah, it ain't just for slide either, it works beautifully NO MATTER WHAT!! The only complaint I have is that I didn't have one SOONER. Play on Brothers and Sisters !!!

I bought this not just as a slide comp, but as a utility compressor as well. The beauty of this particular version is it will run exactly like the original big-box Cali76 if you run it single stage. My clean guitar tone FEELS identical to my gain saturated dirt tone. It's truly incredible. I can definitely appreciate the price tag will deter most buyers, but coming from someone… read more who paid full price...it's worth every penny.
