Slö Multi Texture Reverb Pedal Review

I have been researching reverb and delay pedals for 18 months or so. I had joined a classic rock band and put together the best pedalboard I could given my budget. I ended up with a Nu-X Atlantic reverb/delay. It's a great pedal for a band or jam session, and it's a good value. In the course of my research, I came across the Slo. It was the first reverb pedal that seriously got… read more my attention. I discovered the ambient guitar genre, and I was immediately smitten. As an older player (I'm 66), this style of music makes a lot of sense. I'm not quite the player I used to be as far as dexterity goes. I read and listened to hundreds of "ambient" pedal reviews. Down the rabbit hole I went. Finally, I went with my first instinct and ordered the Slo. NO REGRETS! The pedal is everything I hoped it was, and more. Many of the demos and reviews focus on the Slo'sdreamscape qualities, and rightly so. It can sound so heavenly. But the Slo can be dark and menacing if required. The modulation ranges from sweet and lovely to totally seasick if needed. The latching pad function agen in the Dream setting is really what sold me. Some reviewers have commented that when playing over a latching pad, the guitar signal is dry. And it is. But that's not a negative for me. While experimenting with the latching pad, I use other effects in my chain (chorus, delay, ovetdrive) to add to the guitar sound. It works great and allows other tones to be hear, which offers a lot of flexibility. I'm loving the Slo. It calls to me to plug in and create something. Is it noise? Is it music? Does it matter? I was up far too late last night exploring. It's a fantastic creative tool. Five stars across the board.

Fantastic Pedal

This pedal is one of my favorites and sits at the end of my chain next to my Boss Chorus and Old Blood Black Fountain. If you like unique, trippy space like effects and like to experiment with different sounds, this is the pedal for you. The only issue with this and some other pedals is the input/output isn't marked but unless you're a noob, all these pedals are set up the same way with output on the left and input on the right. In any case, it sounds fabulous even on my tiny little Orange Micro Set up with a Les Paul. Can't recommend this pedal enough.

HOLY HANNAH!!

What a huge difference the Walrus Audio Slo makes on my pedalboard! I did a lot of research before I pulled the trigger on this pedal. So many reverbs and delays are out there. Perfect Freeze Pedal!

This pedal is amazing! The coolest feature of this pedal is the dreamy freeze that this pedal can do. What I like about this pedal the most is that when you freeze the sound the dry signal passes through without reverb. This is great if you are multiple reverb pedals as you can stack this pedal with other reverbs. If you are using this pedal as your "only" verb I would advise against… read more it because you are going to want to use the freeze on this pedal because it is that good! Just use it in addition to another reverb pedal! I feel like this is perfect compliment to any reverb pedal! The only reason not to get this pedal is to get the Slotva! The Slotva just has some updates and added some presets to this pedal. I just sold my Slo only to upgrade to the Slotva. My board isn't complete without it! A must!

My favorite pedal

This guitar has really inspired me to play guitar more and more, this isn't just a regular reverb pedal it's an ambient dream machine in a small and somewhat affordable box, and it's definitely worth the purchase!! I recommend watching Rabea Massad's video if you're considering buying this, you won't regret it!
