Put it in a strat. I prefer my pearly gates for blues then this. Going to put it in my esp for metal since this thing screams metal..very active pickup for not being a active pickup..if you play metal you want this

I dropped this in a Jackson SL3X, And maaaan let me tell you this is no joke! What an upgrade I was going for a super strat 80's metal guitar that could also handle more modern grindcore tones and dude this thing did that and SO much more it's versatile as can be paired with 2 hot rails it's just in its element. The magnetic pull when paired with Ernie ball cobalt high out put strings… read more this thing sounds HUGE and just screams and sounds mean. I was on the fence between this and a few others including EMG and super distortion and this baby right here?! Blew them all away after testing it's just worth every penny, I sound like a rockstar now. Snag one of these it's worth it seriously.

This pickup is the hottest passive ive ever had. Can go from the heaviest of metal and able to dial back to play the cleanest of clean.
