A beautiful little chorus/vibrato unit

I have a number of chorus pedals and all of them are good. But there's something special about the Hippo. The sound is clear, liquid, and very musical. Highly recommended.

Great Chorus, Not Much Headroom

William Henley

The Blue Hippo is a great chorus pedal that sounds amazing almost no matter how you set it. The vibrato is a little dark, but that's to be expected from an analog pedal. The chorus is lush and adds life to whatever you run through it. The one issue that keeps me from giving it a full 5 stars is that it doesn't have very much headroom. I have a Seymour Duncan Jazz/JB set installed read more in one of my guitars. They're passive pickups, but they are quite high-output for passive pickups; and they cause the Blue Hippo to distort at full volume. I personally feel that an effect pedal should have enough headroom to handle a passive pickup even if it is a fairly hot passive pickup.

Love it

My expectations were blown out of the water by this pedal. First off it"s way smaller than I expected. More importantly the chorus itself is fantastic. I mostly use it for a subtle effect with my clean tone to make things sound a bit bigger. But it can also add a gorgeous warble on top of an overdriven tone.

So good! Perfect size

First Way Huge pedal and I"m very impressed. Never had one before partly due to the size, and this was actually a little smaller than I was expecting but in a good way. Honestly the perfect size and lay out for a pedal, should be adopted universally in my opinion. It also sounds terrific! For 2 knobs and a switch it"s very versatile. The only vibrato mode onva pedal I"ve ever found read more not only useable but fantastic. Big thanks to Aaron and crew at Sweetwater for getting this out quickly and painlessly as always.
