Incomplete fret work. No filing evident.
I'm not impressed with the fretwork coming from this manufacturer. Unless you know how to file frets, I would skip this one, if I were bass shopping.
Great starter bass
Purchase this bass as a demo model with the expectation of swapping pickups right off the bat. Went with set of Aguilar passive pickups and had sweet water install them. Not only does this bass now sound full of tone but the playability is wonderful. The neck has a nice thin contour and with lower action this thing plays very fast. Looks and sounds amazing
I got mine yesterday. I didn't wait the full 24 hour period to open (i was to excited) but it was in perfect condition (aside of one minor issue that i took care of right away) it looks and sounds heavenly. Sub-par tuning machines and the pickups were decent until they randomly started making a bunch of noise. The bridge is nice though. Plays amazing and I didn't expect the action to be so smooth. Now if it could just stay in tune for more than 10 minutes and the pickups… read more didn't make so much noise, I would rate this 5 stars. But, if you feel like customizing a great feeling bass with your hardware of choice, I wouldn't pass on this.
Great bass
I'm a Fender guy. But after years of playing Fenders I wanted something a little bit different. I take the risk with this one only reading the specs and saw a couple of videos because there is no too much information on the web. I knew about the good reputación Spector basses but for me is not enough. Any way I'm very happy now. The bass is light without felling like a toy, no… read more neck dive, stay in tune, electronic and pickups sounds great and very versátile, fret job is awesome so I can get a low action without fret buzz and the paint job is excellent. What else can you ask for a bass? Simply awesome.
