I own a Lakland 4402 and a Bongo 4hs...this bass is a great addition. All of my basses have strong stage presence. But after running the Spector through the motions of gigging every weekend the past few months. The Spector sits the best in a live FOH mix. The Spector has a Snarly Midrange that's very organic sounding. The other two are versatile industry standards that can reach… read more all kinds of tones, the Spector has only one tone but sits in the mix clear, clean and articulate. Every note, fret to fret, even, loud, and not boomy. Light weight and fast necked. Mine is predominately black as opposed to the pics of others I've seen online. But the beauty of the wood grains vary from bass to bass so you almost get a custom look from bass to bass as well.

I just received mine fro sweetwater yesterday,super fast shipping, and I couldn't be happier! I own a euro 4 version, and playabilty and spector sound I right on par with the euro! get one before the bass world finds out about these new gems for a fraction of the price of a new euro model.
