Simply Amazing

The line 6 Spyder V 120 is a guitarist dream. I've played lots of other amps, my last one being a fender mustang 100W modeling amp and this amp blows it away. The speaker is deep and full of thump, the presets are not trash at all, there is a setting for almost any genre of music and the Spyder 5 control panel for my PC allows me to control every aspect of the amp. IT's full of read more effects that will not let you down and there is the tone cloud of course that allows for instant downloads of any sound you can imagine. This amp is well built, easy to use (with a bit of time learning how to tweak what you want) The one drawback of this amp is the time it takes just to cozy up to it and feel comfortable finding what you need, learning to create and save your own presets. But trust me it's well worth it! Some might say the price point is a little high, but if you're going to spend money on an amp to service you for years, this is that amp. Besides, it's only money...you'll make more and Sweetwater will never steer you wrong. My sales engineer Justin Sunday and amazing, he's fast to respond to any issues and quick to make reccomendations on accessories such as foot switches, cables, etc. ORDER IT TODAY!

No Fuss, Great Tones

This amp is just what I was looking for and it delivered as advertised. It contains a wide selection of presets that are usually just what I need, but then I can tweak to my heart's content and its not complicated at all. The tuner is well designed, fast and accurate. Well constructed. The looper is a lot of fun too. I highly recommend it.

This amp is probably one of the best amps I've used in my 20 years of playing. You can get pretty much any tone you desire

A fantastic amp with lots of options for amp models and effects pedals

I had purchased a smaller modeling amp from a different company a little over a year ago but was quickly frustrated with its limitations and so was a bit leery of other such amps. I investigated the Line 6 Spider V MkII series of amps and decided to give it a try. I am very glad I did! I decided on the 120-watt version because I know that it will be great performing as well as read more in my practice room and I won't have to worry about boosting the volume somehow. It is a solidly-built amp with nothing cheap-feeling about it. The sound is clear and full. The knobs on the front allow a person to "do it all" from switching between presets or user-saved tones although using either of the two USB ports on the back to attach to a tablet, smartphone or a computer makes it a lot easier for editing and saving tones, as well as downloading tones from the internet that others have created. There are two USB ports -- one is a USB-B port which would be used for connecting to a computer or Android tablet or smartphone (according to the manual) and the other is a USB-A port supposedly for connecting an iPhone or iPod (NOT iPad). The USB-A port will only connect to iOS devices which have a lightning connector! A USB-B-to-USB-C cable (or combination of cable and adapter) DOES work with the newer iPad models without a lightning connector. The amp contains 32 banks of four presets and user tones. Only the last bank is showing as available for User Tones so it appears that a user could only save 4 tones. That's not true, though. Any of the first 31 sets of 4 presets can be over-written by the user if so desired. And they can all be edited and then re-saved. There is a special FBV jack on the back of the amp. While not necessary, the optional extra Line 6 FBV3 foot controller is a great add-on that makes changing between tones and using the looper very simple. And the pedal is great for volume control or for control of wah and other effects. There is also a less expensive Line 6 FBV Express pedal or the FBV2. The FBV Express pedal has a volume/wah foot pedal while the FBV 2 only has back and forward foot switches. One thing which is fantastic about this amp is that the sequence of the pedals and amp models in the signal chain can be changed. So if a person wants to put an eq at the end of the signal chain that's possible or if a person wants the eq at the start of the signal chain that's possible, too. The software (either on PC/Mac, or Android or iOS device) makes editing the signal chain easy and clear to understand. This amp has so many amp models and effects pedals to select from and such a great editing potential that we can all say goodbye to the hassle of bringing lots of effects pedals and setting them up and then changing them around in the middle of a gig. It will take a long time to fully realize all that this amp has to offer, but one thing is very clear -- it's a great sounding amp so one can simply plug it in and start to play and be amazed.

Love this amp does a lot, wish I had bought it sooner. Just need to get a cable so I can hook it up to my computer. Not sure which one it is.
