JHS Tank Reverb Pedal
I just wanted a pedal to really sound like a fender reverb but not to old and crusty and with all the un useable range that amp built ins have. You can really dial in some professional sounds on this. I play through the Fender Bass Breaker 45 and it has no on board reverb. This pedal also has a side effect input for second tank and can add really cool effects to your sounds or just… read more be a reverb boost for a passage where you want it to get crazy. I spent two days just turning knobs and paired with all kinds of other pedals I have. And it has built in boost and will hit your amp with a bit more so I can even use it to drive my amp transparently without changing the sound to much but get a little more breakup from the amazing Bass Breaker. And my pedal says it was made at someone's house in America during corona pandemic so got to help keep Americans working.
Was very happy with the sounds I got
Never thought I needed a reverb pedal but Im glad i decided to get one. This reverb pedal is great. It doesn"t sound so much like a reverb tank as is does a echo chamber or something. I read other peoples experiences and said it doesn"t get as "drippy " as other pedals which is fine for me because i have a super reverb i use for clean drippy reverb sounds. This pedal on the back… read more end of my setup made a very believable reverb sound. My friends were over when I first got it and when I kicked it on they all grinned at the tone. Then I knew It wasn"t just me. Never really knew about JHS pedals until recently The dude who founded JHS seams really nice too. I watch his youtube channel and learn a lot. And also wanted to support him and this pedal did not disappoint. He points out in one of his videos to use a wah for the effect send for the reverb trail, it sounds really cool
Top Quality Spring Reverb
I bought the JHS Spring Tank when the actual tank in my Twin Reverb went out, so I decided to get a new tank and a pedal to compare. To be honest, I am extremely impressed with this pedal and it is much more than I expected it to be. The spring reverb is dead-on accurate to an actual tank, and I find myself using it more than the actual reverb in my amp now. The boost feature is… read more very nice to prevent yourself from getting drowned in the reverb trails, and the 2 tanks channels makes it easy to add and remove the mix as you please. I also have a Strymon Blue Sky, and personally think this pedal's spring reverb is just as good if not better!
Really Like It
This is not my first reverb pedal but it will probably be my last. I love it! The depth of the sound, the effects loop circuit, the huge range of sounds from fairly dry to the watery depths. And with two circuits! Works super well for surf guitar (and just about any other genre that uses reverb). Honestly, if you have this pedal, IMO, you don't need the Fender tank reverb (and lots… read more of other reverbs as well). And Kurt and Mandy not only gave me an excellent price, but it go to me very fast.
