the neck alone on this 50s vibe was worth it! i beleive it is a one peice maple neck! i cant see any bonding line where the fingerboard meets the back half of the neck. i beleive its one peice. and no single coil buzz either. atleast for me. the butterscotch gloss finish is absolutely spot on! thanx matt!

Love this bass!!!! Great sound and looks sweet!!!!! Plays really nice but not quite as close action as I would like, but close. I did add "Lollipop" tuners for the look.

Impressive Tone - Plays Beautifully!

I'm absolutely thrilled with this bass! It sounds, looks, and plays great! For the P bass sound under the $ price point, I can't imagine a better bass than this! The tone is warm and powerful and sounds stellar when I play through an amp and when I record with it! It looks beautiful and isn't overly heavy. The neck is great quality, and the playability is perfect! I'm primarily read more a guitarist and somewhat newer to playing bass, but I found it easy to move around the fretboard. Huge thanks to my sales engineer, Justin Wofford for making this happen for me! I can't put it down, and I've already recorded a lot of stuff with it. It has exceeded my expectations, and is just fun to play. I don't plan on selling this bass. The tone and feel are really wonderful, and I always want to have this one nearby to pick up and create music with!

This bass is great right out of packaging. My agent Jacob Agee always come through for me, all the time.Bass was delivered in 2 days, but gave it a 3rd day to warm up, winter weather, to room temperature. The color is so much beautiful than the photos showed. I have over 22 basses and this one will a lot of gigs this year. If you are seasoned or looking for an entry level bass, read more you won't be disappointed. Give Jacob a call, I know he will take care of you. Happy Playing.

This bass will surprise you in a good way

I got this bass from Sweetwater, unpacked it, tuned it and plugged it into my Mesa Subway D800+. I was thrilled to hear a deep clean tone just like a 50's P bass should have. No noise at all including 60 cycle hum. I was grinning from ear to ear. Not a scratch or blemish that I could find. This is the first Squire instrument I have owned so I was skeptical. I checked the set read more up from Sweetwater for neck relief, string height, nut height and intonation. It was very close and required minimal adjustments. The only reason I adjusted it was to make it the way I wanted it to be, it would have been fine to the average player without any adjustment at all. The strings that it comes with are 105 round wounds and sound nice and fat. The tuners are really nice and hold a tune just fine. I had planned on installing a set of Hipshot tuners but it will not be needed. I did however have a new Hipshot kickass bridge so I went ahead and put it on and it sounds a little darker and fatter than the vintage bridge it comes with but again, it was a personal preference to change it out. The finish is excellent on the body and the neck. The frets are surprisingly very good and have no sharp edges or dead spots. I didn't even need to polish them and when I ran my hand up and down the neck they were smooth and fast. All this for such a good price! Do yourself a favor and get one because you will just love it! I have been playing the bass and guitar for over 40 years and have owned dozens of quality instruments and I am proud to add this one to my collection.

I was just blown away !

First off I thought to myself "I need a Bass" and starting looking and when I seen this deal and for price, I said What the Hell. This was my first Squier and for the money why not. I had always liked the original P Bass, I just didn't want one in a Sunburst. I was in awe by the White Blonde. When I got her out of the case I was just blown completely away ! I expected something read more less of what I got. Almost completely Flawless ! There were two screws that were loose than normal and had to tweak the intonation and the action and relief were on the money. i haven't plugged her in yet but she plays very well and feel the sturdiness of the Instrument itself. i am going to do a couple of upgrades on her like the Pickguard wiring and a Bridge replacement in the near future. All in all this Instrument is worth every penny ! You just can't go wrong on this buy !

Great Sound--Low Cost

First thing is that Jed Elliott and Sweetwater continue to prove why they are my go to store. The Squire Classic Vibe 50s Precision Bass is more than I expected. With a little tweaking to set it up to my style of playing, it plays and sounds like a bass that costs much more. I have several bass guitars and I'm enjoying playing this one more than the others by far. I love this read more bass. If you buy one you won't be disappointed.

I intended to spend 4x this on a bass. But after playing high dollar basses in stores nothing felt like it was worth the money. I saw this squier was in-stock and gave it a shot. Wow! Glad I did and you will be too
