Sweet sounds
I bought my Squire Thin line 2 months ago . It's easy to play . The neck is smooth and sleek. You'll enjoy playing this guitar. Good buy.
I Love This Guitar!!!
Been looking at the Classic Vibe guitars for quite awhile. Wondering about they hype. Bought a Classic Vibe Esquire from Sweetwater a few months back and was stunned by how great it plays and sounds. It quickly became my go to guitar. First choice over many others in my small but vital collection costing 3-4 times as much. I love this guitar!!! I've hardly put it down for two days.… read more It has exceeded my expectations in every way. The tone from the Squire branded Wide Range Humbuckers is fantastic. I'm a tinkerer and I normally replace the wiring harnesses in all of my guitars with custom vintage spec harnesses. I don't see the need in this case. I love everything about this guitar just the way it is.Excellent deal on a great playing and sounding guitar that any working musician can afford. Will definitely be adding more Classic Vibe guitars to the stable.
Squeir Classic Vibe '70's Telecaster Thinline
I ordered my Tele from Sweetwater on a Monday and had it By lunch time Wednesday. It was well packed for shipping, and after I gave it a look over and tuned it up. It was almost in tune I'm sure due to the 55 point inspection from Sweetwater. I changed strings and polished the frets with 0000 steel wool the next day. The setup, playability, intonation are all spot on. I'm very impressed… read more with this guitar. I have an American Deluxe Tele, a James Burton Tele, and an AVRI '52 Hot Rod Tele as well, and I have to admit this Classic Vibe compares very well no matter what price point, it's just that good. The humbuckers are beefy and sound good, with the neck position being slightly muddy. My only critique is the "F" hole needed to be smoothed on the edge and I touched up the edge with some black paint, something only I will ever see. This is a very well built (Indonesian) guitar I would recommend to anyone suitable to be played by novice or pro. I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience dealing with Sweetwater.
Nice Guitar
This guitar had fairly significant fret buzz with open B and E strings. I think it is, maybe, the strings. I tried just about everything I know to fix this. It turns out that the problem virtually went away when I re-stretched those strings and re-tuned. Other than that, it's a fun guitar. Good quality overall. I saw no flaws. I'm not so sure I like the tuners though. One slight… read more adjustment takes me from flat to sharp. Maybe tuners with a lower gear ratio would be better. Not a deal killer though.
Awesome value!!
Don't let the name "Squier" scare you off. This is a great value! The guitar plays really well...the neck and fretboard on mine are perfect! No sticky finish on either, and no sharp fret ends. The pickups have great tone and character. You can get any sound out of these you want. With some overdrive, delay and/or reverb in the mix, they sound clear, yet with a hint of darker… read more tone. The saddles are on the cheaper side, but I was able to intonate the guitar without issues. The truss rod works well, and the action can be set to your liking pretty easily. I can't really speak to the quality of the tuners cause' I swapped them out right away. I prefer locking tuners, so I put a set of Fender tuners on the guitar (if you chose to do this, you'll need to drill larger holes...FYI).Overall, you will not be disappointed with this guitar!
