The tone I was looking for, dropped these pups in my American made Strat and never looked back.The HSS configuration just wasn't doing it for me, I found myself playing it less and less every time I walked into the music room, so I did a little research and found the Seymour Duncan SSL-1 they said these pickups would pair up well with the ash body, boy were they ever so right, love… read more the tone of the sparkly chimes of the highs and subtle growl of the lows…Thank you Seymour Duncan and Sweetwater…

I threw these in my Squier strat and man, did it completely step up the tone! I love my guitar even more now. These babies scream when you throw some distortion in the mix and also have a great clean tone. I never really used the middle pickup much before, but it seems to be a new contender for lead. It sounds SO GOOD.

I installed these pickups in my squire and they sound amazing. Great crunch and tone on the bridge and the neck pick up is bright and clean. I play a lot of floyd and these are awesome

I bought these to replace Fender N3 noiseless pickups in my 2010 American Deluxe Strat. The N3's always sounded muddy to me unless you kept the tone on 10. These pickups have really brought my strat to life with crystal clear dynamics. Even with overdrive each string comes through beautifully with great response. I keep my tone controls set between 5 and 7 now and can roll up or… read more down with it. I lost the S1 switching capabilities by installing these pickups but they sound so great i don't miss the S1.

I have had lots of pickups and these are my reference for the true strat sound. If you buy them, make sure to dial in the pickup height perfectly to experience the perfect strat sound. The neck and middle are to die for.
