Great Vintage Strat
I've used these for years when I build guitars for myself and friends. It sounds just like a pickup from a 60's Fender. No difference. If that's what you want, then you can stop your search here.
Amazing pickups
I recently replaced the pickups in an American Strat I have had for years. I never bonded with the original Fender pickups, so I put this in the neck plus a SSL-5 in the bridge and a SSL-1 rwrp in the middle. These are amazing pickups and have taken my Strat from being one of my least played guitars to one of my favorites. I highly recommend doing the blender mod with this too,… read more the neck-bridge combination is fantastic. These nail Gilmour tones, can't recommend them highly enough.
Just beautiful
I put an SSL-1 in the neck position with a Duncan Alnico 2 Pro in the middle and an SSL-5 in the bridge. This is one of the most interesting and balanced strat pickups I've ever played. I've been through a bunch of different strat pickups over the years and this is now my go to neck pickup. I'm sure you could spend more money on Lollars or Franlins, but after using this pickup for a while, I don't really see the point. This is a fabulous neck pickup. Great balance, tone, chime, and attack.
Get them now
Don't wait. Go ahead and get these now and start enjoying your Strat like it should sound. They're perfect. I put two of these and a SSL-5 in my Strat. Perfection.
Excellent Versatile Strat Pickups
I bought these pickups for my Highway One Strat & I was very pleased. They are basically just what they are advertised as. They sound great for blues & rock, very versatile but much more clarity in them than what you get with the stock strat pickups. Worth the money for the upgrade IMO.
