Bought these for my Epiphone Royal Wildcat, because if you own one, lets face it, come on admit it, you know you want to....the stock pickups, well they suck like Tom Waits live album Big Time. Also if you own that guitar and are reading this, you might want to get that guitar re-wired. I kept having this bass problem that I just couldn't tune out. No matter what I did, tweak the read more guitar, turn the bass down or off on the amp, I could not get rid of it. I thought about buying an EQ for my pedal board. Then I found a page that said that the Royal comes with faulty wiring that causes the sound to sound like crap. Watched some videos, saw the difference. Than I googles these babies. Brought the guitar to Guitar Center had them change the pickups and re-wire it. It's a whole new guitar. Maybe it wasn't worth it, but it sounds great.
