Yes, I'm blown away. I just got my Deluxe Roadhouse Strat back from the technician who installed one of these in the bridge position and well, I'm blown away. I am not a metal head and was afraid this pup might over-power everything and potentially backfire as a purchase idea on me. But no sweat. I'm thrilled to report that the sound fits right in to the picture--only just better… read more and more WITHOUT over-powering the two Fender noiseless pups still in the middle and neck. Some of the cool attributes include ease at getting squealies. I'm looking forward to discovering the other nuances. I went to one of the on-line teaching services (who I won't plug here) and played along with a "licks you have to know" collection and blasted away. The experience and sound was very satisfying. I glad I decided on this pickup. Cheers peeps.

I use Fender Vintage Noiseless and/or Duncan SSL-1 neck and Middle pickups on my strats, but my favorite Strat Bridge pickup is the Seymour Duncan STK-S9b overwound "hot stack plus" pickup!'' It is noiseless, and is powerful, but when you tone down a bit, it can also exhibit clarity, clearness, and beautiful sweetness! Balanced against my Fender Vintage Noiseless neck and middle… read more pickups it makes a perfect partner in tone!! To me this is an outstanding bridge pickup for a Strat. AND put this on a black strat with a black pickup cover and you have a beauty of a guitar. Put this pickup with an overdrive or power tube amp you will find it easy to hit Stevie Ray type or comfortably numb type sounds, Hook your strat with this bridge pickup up to a Boss Mega Distortion or a Muff Pi and this baby will sing! It reminds me a bit like an SSL-5 except without thst annoying 60 cycle hum..
