Recently, I installed two Seymour Duncan Pickups on my G&L Blues Boy Tribute, with very Happy results! I used the Seth Lover on the Neck side and a STL-3 Quarter Pound Bridge Tele Single Coil Pickup on the bridge.... Very pleased with the results! .... In my video, you will hear the Bridge pickup.... Great tones !

Game changer!

The Seymour Duncan quarter pound bridge pickup was a game changer for me. I have a Fender Deluxe Telecaster Thinline that came with their vintage noiseless pickups. The vintage noiseless picks did not sound bad at all, they were just a little lackluster for my style of music. As soon as I changed it to the quarter pound in the bridge she became a fire breathing monster. It is not read more for the faint of heart. This pickup is loud, noisy and obnoxious, I love it! The description is pretty spot on. It's competitive with output of a Humbucker, has characteristics of a P90 but overall still retains that single coil vibe. I did loose a little bit of that Tele spank but gained so much more versatility. It cleans up nicely if you roll off the volume too. This pickup completely changed the dynamic of the guitar and how I play it. It's way more responsive. I highly recommend this pickup of you are looking for something aggressive, thick, and hot sounding, great for harder rock. Two thumbs up, 5 stars all around.

Love it!

Purchased the Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Tele neck pickup last year to get that bluesy growl and liked it so much, just had to get the bridge pickup. It took my Squier from good to absolutely fantastic. The tonal range is out of this world.

I put this into a Mexican tele and for my tone it's the best!!! It goes from both ends of the spectrum, clean and dirty with great harmonics. Works well with all my pedals, ocd, Stayton flint and vox ac10. Highly recomended... Thanks to Tad for helping me with all my Sweetwater needs!

I recently installed this STL-3 Quarter Pound pickup on my G&L Bluesboy, along with an SH-55N, Seth lover, Seymour Duncan Humbucker..... Turned out to be a nice Combination.....I can tell you this, The Seymour Duncans are a lot hotter than the stock G&L pickups that came on my ASAT..... Very Happy..... You can turn your guitar down at half volume And have a nice clean tone... read more Crank it up a bit and enjoy the great tones coming from the amp...... Good choice for this guitar.... I believe my G&L Tribute just appreciated in value! ... I am including a Tutorial video as to how I installed the pickups. The video also includes a Before and after demonstration with my Guitar........ Sweet water is always my first choice for Quality parts and This ain't my first rodeo!
