Though I've been playing the guitar for 45 years, I had literally never made any type of adjustments to my own instruments. I recently bought a new guitar (not from Sweetwater) and despite having paid extra for a set up, I was still getting some buzz on the 4th and 5th strings, up around the 10th fret. Due to the pandemic, was reluctant to walk the guitar into a local repair shop… read more for this simple adjustment. With no experience, this simple tool gave me the confidence to make an adjustment to the action on my new guitar. No more buzz! With this tool, I now feel confident, should I ever have to measure or adjust the action on any of my electric guitars again. A great tool for tinkerers with any level of experience.

Such a super useful tool for doing any set ups or height adjustments on any guitar or bass. Easy to read and has both MM and inch measurements. I trust it to last for many years to come.

Thick and sturdy, easy to read... I have a 6" mechanic's steel rule that I also use, but this is a nice addition to the toolkit.

I am extremely happy with this gauge. It's thick and extremely durable. I love that it has the measurements on both the front & the back. Now I will NEVER again have to use a business card or such just to set my string height. I have already set the truss rod adjustments on most of my guitars already, but when the need arises it will come in very handy. I am so glad that I have… read more this in my guitar/bass setup bag.
