Sounds, plays awesome

The intonation of this guitar is awesome. Unplugged, it sounds way bigger than it is. Plugged in, sounds great too. I played Takamines years ago, but switched to Guilds, then Taylors, then Martins... I am so happy I went back to Takamines. Guitar looks as cool as it sounds too... JUST AWESOME!

Chesney guitar packs big sound in OM body and island asthetics

I had ordered this a while back from my awesome "go-to" rep Jared Kalish and wanted to write a review. I'm usually a Gibson and Martin acoustic guy, but an avid Chesney fan who finally made the pilgrimage to Saint John USVI... and so glad I did. I wanted something that had that laid-back island vibe that was perfect for the beach or lake. I must say the guitar is satin and flawless, read more with beautiful inlay. Amber tuners add to the mystique. Takamine has quality electronics and great sound. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants big sound from an OM sized guitar. I haven't heard sound this good from an OM besides the Clapton Martin. Be in a paradise mindset everyday with this guitar.

KC70 is a Plesant Surprise

Been playing guitar for 30+ years and not sure why I have never owned a Takamine? I own many acoustic guitars including some really nice USA Taylor's, Gibson, and Martin offerings; all of witch have amazing sound and are a joy to play. I decided to add this KC70 to my collection basically due to the wife really falling for the KC touches (I know, not the best reason to purchase read more a guitar). It arrived in perfect shape and the Sweetwater support was amazing as usual. I usually prefer the brightness of my primary Taylor (712-CE) that has been my goto for many years, but this Takamine has such a full and warm sound that I haven't been able to put it down!! It is a stout guitar (slightly on the heavy side) and I have no problem bashing some full blown open chords without a concern. It projects nicely and can get pretty crisp when finger picking (Not quite Taylor crisp...LOL). The setup was spot on right out the gate (I did swap to my preferred strings) and it hasn't faltered even with a couple trips to some much more humid locations. If your looking for a great sounding workhorse of a guitar, you can't go wrong with this KC70!!!
