Beautiful and rich sound

I got to talking to Sweetwater sales engineer Kenny Stratton about which 12-string would best fit my needs, playing style, and budget. We bounced around several ideas at several price points and settled on the Takamine Legacy EF381SC. I'm so glad that this guitar is what we settled on. It is rich and bold without being twangy. It just has such a full and balanced sound. Plugging read more into the pickup gives a surprisingly good and true sound, and the 3-band EQ is very effective, allowing for a great deal of control of of the tone. The built-in tuner is also very easy to use, effective, and hand. Overall, I'm having so much fun playing and plucking away.

It's absolutely gorgeous top to bottom, sounds astounding, stays tuned for a long time, just minor adjustments at best. Playability is a smooth and painless experience, I can't imagine a better twelve string. So incredible, and I no longer miss the beautiful Ovation 12 string I sold last fall.

What a pleasure to do business, very helpful answered all my questions, processing the order was quick and easy. Josh Sackett handled my order great job. the staff also helped when I called back for more info. On a scale of 1-10 they get a 12.THanks again. My picking buddies will hear about you.

Very Nice Guitar

I"ve been looking at and playing new 12 strings for a while now. It"s been about 45 years since I"ve owned one. I"ve played many different brands and models in my quest to find an affordable quality instrument. This guitar is a high quality, great sounding, easy playing beauty. I can"t put it down. Very comfortable to play. Low action with no buzz. Perfect intonation all the way read more up and down the fretboard. Very clean articulate, we"ll balanced sound from all strings. A little less bass than some others I have played but not the least bit muddy on the low end. The on board tuner is very accurate when compared to my Unitune by tc electronics and the guitar stays in tune very well. The preamp is the best of any of the guitars I"ve tried. Excellent sound plugged in. If you want more bass, plug it in and crank it up. My D35 Martin doesn"t sound this good plugged in. The neck width and profile makes it easy to transition between this guitar and my Martin 6 strings. I am very pleased and believe many others will be too. Thanks to Luke and all the folks at Sweetwater for the great service and for recommending the Takamine 12 string. This one is a keeper.
