Wow! Just Wow!
I can't believe how great this guitar sounds and how EASY it is to play. I am so happy with this purchase and am so happy I picked the Black 214ce which features the maple bottom and sides. I really don't have a reference for a high end guitar to compare this too but for me this feels like what a mid-high end pro guitar would be like. I've been playing a Guild F-130 sun burst which… read more I think is very nice, but I wanted to have and see what the next level up or two would sound and feel like, plus I wanted the Taylor name. Since I am writing this during the Corona virus time, I was like many people, spending a lot of time at home and what better way to spend the time by getting back into playing. Well this baby really lifted my spirits with it's rich tone and playability. I can only speak for this Taylor but I can say without a doubt, it is indeed a superb instrument! And Sweetwater took care of me very well as always! Free APO shipping! Thank you Brian Loney.
This guitar sings
I have never been happier with any guitar or guitar gear I have ever purchased.
AMAZING
This guitar is not only beautiful, but it has an amazing tone and ease of playing! I am very thankful to have been able to purchase it with Sweetwater's amazing 3 payment plan and I have no regrets of using this store. Ben was an extreme help with the process! Kudos!
Love My Guitar
I love my new Taylor Guitar because it is great to play! I was used to playing electric guitar or acoustic with high actions which makes you work to play and this guitar is so easy to play because the action is low and almost plays itself. I have two other acoustic guitars that can't compare to it. I just found a new love for playing acoustic guitar again. I also think it is a… read more really good looking guitar with quality workmanship.
WOW!
I just bought this for my son. When it arrived it was all setup by Sweetwater team and tuned and polished, inspected and tweaked to perfection. I wanted to teach my 8 year old how to play guitar. I have a priceless Martin and a newer martin and another Taylor. I started playing this and WOW!!! I mean this is the most playable guitar i have played. The sound is smooth like silk.… read more Basses not to boomee, Highs crisp but not brittle, mids smooth. I could not put it down!! I brought out my Martins and laid them all on the bed. I Picked up one, then played the Taylor 214ce deluxe black, then the super expensive Martin. The Taylor found us all with our mouths open. Unique to its own smooth and sweet. The Martin necks were wider and fatter. I am over 6'2" and have big hands, but holy crap The Taylor 214ce just played itself, I played licks i only played back in High School. I am still confused. Why is this guitar so easy to play? The neck is so perfect. Narrow, but plays like a wide, Glisses just slide like gravy without finger fatigue. Sound is big but not overwhelming. Sits in you lap perfect. All I can say is if you are reading this review buy this guitar now. You will never look back. It will blow you away. Make sure to get some Taylor polish and a nice cloth to wipe the instrument down when you put it down.. Then again you might just never put this baby down! I am in heaven. Oh Yea!! It was for my son. Well I just called Sweetwater and Nick Church to see what the difference from the DELUXE Taylor 214ce Black and the Taylor 914ce Natural is. On paper they look identical except in price and finish. Either way I will be buying one of those next month. My son...he has a guitar that is the best playable acoustic ever made and sounds like a $10k Martin. Amazing. Truly the best choice of a guitar I have ever made. Forget the price. To some its like cheap. To others it may seem like you should not buy it. BUY IT! Its will blow you away. Great job Taylor! This is a dream to play. Thank you for making me enjoy the guitar again. Cloth, Polish, picks. Thats all you need to bring this thing to life. Don't forget to let Sweetwater string it up and do its inspection and setup! You will open the case and WOW!! Worth every dime. Oh and if you ever leave your wife or run from a fire..GRAB THIS first when you leave the house. That way you will be able to bring back happiness into your life and others. Cheers
