Sweet Little Guita

Nancy

This guitar was purchased to travel home to home in a hospice program. If you are looking for a half-size guitar and you are more than half-serious about playing, this is a sweet little instrument. It's very playable, sounds darn good for the size, and is just pretty impressive. The mahogany and the slightly rounded back give it warmth and projection. If more early players learned read more on this guitar, there would be more old players out there. The gig-bag case is very rigid and offers great protection. Well worth the money.

I was shopping for a small scale guitar. However, all the music stores had been closed due to the pandemic. So I asked my cousin, a 40+ year guitar player, where I should go for an online purchase. He couldn't have pointed me in a better direction! Sweetwater gets top marks from me across the board. From the way their products are listed (excellent photography, description and read more all specifications). My sales engineer contacted me the day after I made the purchase, which I think is a great touch. They find the exact guitar you want, do their 55 point inspection, repack it in its original packaging, then pack that in their own packaging for extra protection. Everything Sweetwater did for my experience with them they could not have done better. As for the guitar, it's wonderful. Generally, it's a beautiful to look at instrument. Electronics work great. I like how the tuner turns itself off, because I forget to all the time. While the sound unplugged is well balanced from bass to treble, it definitely does not project like a dreadnaught. For me, that's ok, because I am using this guitar almost exclusively for fingerstyle and gives me that plucky type sound I'm looking for. The action on it was good coming out of the box. Once I lowered the action to where I like it, it plays great and the intonation is still spot on. Only two small negative points. First, I'm not too keen on the Elixir Nanoweb strings. My fingernails have already started to scratch the coating off. Second, I was a little disappointed Taylor did not provide a truss rod wrench with the guitar. All in all a great shopping experience. Thank you all at Sweetwater!

Played the demo in store today as I always do when going to Sweetwater. Sound is great just how a Taylor should sound. Action is low for great feel. The back of the body concave feels/fits great against the human body. Small easy to carry around. The case it comes with is awesome. Tuner on the guitar works great and plugged in sounds awesome as well. Make sure there’s batteries read more in it though! Everything about this guitar is exactly what you would want it to be.

Amazing feel and sound in a tiny package!

I love this guitar. Literally my only complaint is that the electronics get activated in the gig bag when I've got a strap tucked in there but they automatically shut off with inactivity so even that's not really much of a complaint. If you buy this without putting your hands on it first it is incredibly small... online videos really don't do it justice because you can't tell read more how big the person doing the demo is. I picked this up because I wanted to be able to sit on the couch or in a chair with armrests and have a guitar that wasn't awkward to use and this fits that need perfectly. I can even play it in the drivers seat of my car comfortably. The action is incredible, nearly as low and easy to play as an electric. The frets are great, and there was not a sharp fret end to be felt. The thing even smells good!
