Taylor K26ce
The insatiable lust that I felt for this since model first seeing one in Taylor's quarterly publication had me feeling like a kid at Christmas when I finally pulled the trigger. Upon arrival, letting the box acclimate for 24 hours as recommended by Sweetwater due to Winter temps was excruciatingly difficult but well worth protecting my new companion. The artistry & craftsmanship… read more is everything one would expect from Taylor and at this price point I expected nothing less - Flawless!! I had read that the sound port better affects the listener rather than the player and I would agree. Her voice is more soft than my other acoustics of varying body sizes but supremely well balanced. I have had several high end acoustics (None quite at this price point) and have never had one play so effortlessly out of the box. The neck is extremely comfortable and the action beautifully low - Not sure if that is direct from Taylor or as a result of Sweetwater's attention prior to shipping. Other than price, my only concern would be the lower volume the player hears when playing unplugged, which I equate to the right words being whispered in one's ear rather than shouted. Anthony Giraldi and his team were top notch, making it oh so easy to look forward to our next conversation.
