Simply The Best

As an old guy and past performer, I have learned to appreciate quality. I have 5 Taylors, all different styles and although expensive, I have gotten what I paid for. I like light guitars now and the T3 was at my limit of 8 lbs. Either you like the Taylor sound or you don't. But do question those who have said they would not gig with a Taylor. Cause this T3 will blow the others read more out of the water. You simply will not find a better solid wood instrument out there for the dough. Thanks to my rep, Sean Geyer for his assistance in the past years.

Taylor T3/B

I was looking for a guitar that would have a jazz/blues tone but not be limited to that and my sales engineer Jimmy recommended the Taylor. He was right on the money as the T3/B is a Gibson ES-335 on steroids for half the price. With an ebony fretboard it is fast and smooth and the sound is awesome. Taylor got more tone variations out of two twist/pull knobs than others got with read more 4 and a toggle. the finish is beautiful as all Taylors are and I am looking forward to years of playing enjoyment!

Where do I start?

For my next electric guitar purchase, I was split between several guitars. Until... I went to a Taylor Road show and saw the T3 demo. The versatility of this guitar really stood out. I already have a solid body electric for purposes of pure shredding, but wanted something with a more vintage vibe to it and a semi-holowbody seemed to be what I needed. I got that and so much more read more with this new Taylor T3/B. With the coil splitting feature, I have a much larger range of tones and styles I can play... and that's just for starters. It comes with an equally beautiful Taylor Case. I open the case and the white binding really pops against the deep rich red finish, and all that chrome hardware gives even more eye candy. After letting it acclimate just a little bit, I plugged it in and started playing. It very easily handled country, blues, and rockabilly. Selecting between regular and split coil mode made for some very interesting tones. I was able to very easily emulate some twangy telecaster and strat tones. I continued to push the limits and found this things shreds almost as good as my solid body metal monster, minus the dive-bombing Floyd Rose trem. The Bigsby trem is great for older-style country and rock, but doesn't quite hang with the wild hair metal stuff you can do with a Floyd Rose. Where this thing really shines is that cool semi-hollow body vibe. Set everything up for a little snapback, plenty of reverb and possibly a bit of tremolo and you are transported back in time to surf rock, rockabilly, and country & blues heaven. I'm not much of a jazz guitar player, but I put everything on a clean setting, put it in the neck pickup mode and rolled back the tone just a tad. Very creamy sound and may actually cause me to start practicing jazz chord progressions again. Most of my musician friends play Fender or Gibson electric guitars. So far as I know, I'm the only one with a Taylor T3/B... and that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

Beautiful Guitar w/great range of tones
