Fender Tex-Mex SSS pre-wired Pickguard
Good Job Skyler, thanks for the follow up.
Fender Tex-Mex PG
I've had the Stratocaster for years and it's been rebuilt several times piecemeal fashion, but with this PG installed it finally sounds the way I want it! Thank you Sweetwater-the Strat sounds great!

Love my Peavy raptor now
Excellent upgrade for Standard Stratocaster
I installed this Tex-Mex loaded pickguard in a 2016 Standard Stratocaster Plus Top. From the actual Sweetwater page for this particular guitar serial number, the guitar was shipped stock with "single coil Strat pickups", and was supplied with a 5-way switch. The guitar has always played great - neck is nice and fast, edges are slightly rolled, body is Alder and it weighs in at… read more a scant 7 pounds, 10 oz. The problem was the "Strat" pickups - ceramic, which can sound good, but these were always lifeless and dull, plus the 5-way switch was loose and could decide to switch position on its own. Almost parted ways with this guitar but decided to upgrade the pups instead - and what a difference. These pickups sparkle, with just a hint of growl when playing clean and they play dirty just as well. They've got all the quack, spank and bite you expect from a Strat - this easy, drop-in loaded pickguard made a keeper out this guitar . for less than a buck-and-a-half. This loaded pickguard really deserves a six star rating.

Sounds great! I didn't want to risk to change the pickguard myself so I went to a luthier to do the job.
