Helluva upgrade
granted, i am upgrading from low quality, budget gear to the cheapest made-by-fender set that exists, but i am blown away by the difference. i was really missing out on that genuine fender tone and these pickups deliver on that. the guitar i put this in is not a fender, it's a 40 year old harmony strat knock-off with crappy PUs and wimpy pots. the rest of the hardware is kinda sub… read more par as well. the tuners are going next. eventually i'll replace the body too. i suppose the only good original part to this guitar is the neck, which plays like a dream. it's real guitar of Theseus situation.
Awesome! Squier upgrade
I took a Squier Strat SE model and installed this loaded turtle pickguard. Totally woke it up! Had to sand the edge that meets the neck about a centimeter or 2 so all the holes lined up. Only modification needed for this one. Sounds great!
Tex Mex pick guard
Dropped right in to my Squier. Even pick guard holes lined up. Had to add three extra screws. Sounds great!
Tex Mex Single Coil Pikckups
These pickups require a lot of support from other devices.
