Fab-tastic
The price plus sound is two, two mints in one. Just sayin', money well spent. I love'em.
Hot Tele
I dropped these into a Squier tele I've modded and these pickups really sing. They can really hit the amp hard and respond extremely well to the volume pot. They are classic telecaster sounding overall; the neck pickup has a bit more bass response and the bridge has that glassy twang. But they also get growly. Yes, the bridge ground wire is short, but you can just ground to the… read more actual bridge so I don't see the problem. Or you can splice a longer wire to it so it reaches the control cavity. Performance wise these are really are expressive and they respond to your attack and play style. If I ever get another tele that needed a pickup upgrade I'd definitely buy these again.
Almost Perfect Tele Pickups
I love these pickups! the bridge in particular has the bite and chime I want out of a Tele bridge. the middle position sounds great for cleans. My only complaint is that the pickups aren't hum canceling in the middle position(to be honest I've never really paid attention if most Tele's are), but that's not a huge deal since I mostly use that for cleans. And yes, the bridge ground… read more wire is very short, but that's because it's supposed to be connected to the actual bridge of the guitar. Overall a great set of pickups! Especially for the price. I would definitely recommend them.
Very underrated pickups!!
LOVE these pickups and have them in all my Teles! Can go from MEAN to clean just by rolling off your volume. Great clarity and mid-range punch. If you're a volume knob player these are definitely worth checking out! I've tried a few other, high-end pickups and these Tex Mex's are right up there with them, if not better in some ways given the sound I'm going for! (They won't cost… read more you a ton and if you need to add an extension to the ground, no biggie...)
Bridge ground wire too short
I have no idea how they sound because I had to return mine before installing. The ground wire on the bridge pickup is too short to even get through the cavity. At first I thought it was just a random thing, but I looked up reviews... and someone else reported the same thing.
