Very satisfied
In my case I mounted them in the bridge position on a 90s Japanese fender strat and the sound is very clear even with an overdrive. I am more satisfied with the sound when it is mounted on an Ibanez RG 320 also in the bridge position, but for styles more inclined towards metal.
Tone is subjective...
In my specific case, the breed is a reasonable pickup. It sings really well (duh, Via plays it) and is wonderfully touch sensitive.
