My Favorite Pedal

It will give you the vintage slapback with ease. Adds a full and old school sound to any playing style. By far my favorite pedal. Especially with an old fender tube amp. Phenomenal!

Plug & Play Echo/Slap Delay!!

Excellent!! Honestly, can't get any better for a slap-delay... This pedal is on-point and as-advertised. * golf-claps to JHS * The boost is super nice and fattens up your tone. The slap sounds and feels like that "tape-machine" delay. I typically use this pedal as an "always on" effect with the 'mix' dialed back. Gives me that extra dimension without completely defining my tone.… read more And depending on the tune or mood, I'll reach for the mix nob and crank it... Also sounds super cool when you run it as an insert on a microphone signal. Analog slap delay for days!

Great sounding pedal

First I have to thank Stephen Oppenheim for all his assistance over the years, the high quality customer service is why I usually buy everything at Sweetwater. Now the pedal review. I wouldn"t expect anything less from JHS, it"s such a great pedal, the sound quality is very warm, the build quality is bullet proof, and it"s super easy to dial in a usable sound very quickly. I play… read more Rockabilly, swing blues, jazz rock, old country, but this pedal can be used in any genre of music. I play a Gretsch Silver Falcon through an Ernie Ball vol pedal, into the milk man straight into a Tone King Falcon grande, with this pedals slap back and the tone Kings reverb in the tweed voicing, I"m in tone heaven. If you"re looking for a no fuss no maintenance easy to dial in delay, this is it. The boost on this pedal is the cherry on top with sprinkles, it doesn"t color the tone in any way, but it gives you from gentle to insane boost levels, it drives my amp into luscious sustain and makes it sing on leads. This is by far my favorite delay pedal, I did own a Fulltone Tube Tape Echo, and that thing was awesome. But I had to sell it to get the Gretsch, I regret nothing! Because now I have no maintenance, pure, honest get to work and play your *** off tone.
